Chicago Poem #77

What you want to know is
how it feels to walk down Berteau
and Know
that tomorrow this city bows
from Division to Roosevelt
from Madison to Eisenhower Express
ways of getting over
this is destitution...a word we make up
When we make up the city's makeup
Emmanuel and Ezekiel are made.
